💡UK aerodromes are preparing for eVTOL aircraft

New eVTOL aircraft promise an attractive future for our society: accessible urban and regional air travel, life-saving medical support, super-efficient cargo logistics, to name a few. But realising this potential requires a broad network of safe and reliable places for eVTOLs to take off and land. On Jan 19th the UK Civil Aviation Authority opened a pioneering consultation concerning vertiports at existing aerodromes¹ ².

Insurers will need to be aware of these changes, helping their clients to manage risk and support safe eVTOL operations. The consultation ends on 15/03/24.
