Two new eVTOL aircraft were unveiled recently
As dozens of well-funded electric Vertical Take-off and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft manufacturers, after years of development, near commercial production, the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) industry is still welcoming new entrants. Recently two new aircraft entered the fray.
The Charlie Aircraft by ERC System
Based in Germany
Electric-powered lift and cruise eVTOL
Optimised for fast response medical emergency. Designed with large doors, high wings and a spacious interior to allow for efficient loading of casualties and inflight medical procedures.
Range: 118 miles
Cruise speed: 110 mph
Production target: 2029 (250 per year by 2032)1
The Sirius CEO-Jet
Based in Switzerland
Hydrogen-electric powered jet with deflected vector thrust
Optimised for point to point travel, ideal for business and leisure transport. The jet is able to carry 2 passengers in addition to the pilot and boasts 95% less noise pollution than a conventional helicopter
Range: 1150 miles
Cruise speed: 323 mph
Production target: Delivering to clients in 2028, launching a shuttle service across America and EU by 2030
Sirius have also unveiled the Adventure Jet, a larger and more powerful model, able to travel a range of 655 miles with 5 passengers or 1350 kg of cargo2
